We are looking at making equity investments in Small and Medium business enterprises, with a focus on businesses that have been running profitably for at-least 3 years.
This limits our universe, but that’s a scenario we are willing to live with.
The investment values are small and will be in the region of USD 100,000 per qualifying business. With room to extend if the business demands that.
We are open to all industries. All investments will be pre-qualified based on their own viability.
Simplified Criteria:
- Funding is equity based
- Industry must be high growth
- Business must have a moat
- Evidence of cash generation history

Listed Equity
Riba Capital is also building a portfolio of listed equity, with concentration being on African stock markets, using a value based investment approach with a key focus on downside risk protection by ensuring a sufficient margin of safety and dividend yield.
